Did Your Pastor Mention Charlie Kirk?

By: Matthew D. Dyer

In the past few days since the assassination of Charlie Kirk, there have been many Christians saying if their Pastor didn’t invoke the name of Charlie Kirk and talk about current events in their weekly sermon, that they need to step down because they are a coward. They may be right, because most who call themselves Pastors are not Biblical qualified to begin with. Although the murder of Charlie Kirk was terrible, and current events needs to be addressed by Christians and Pastors, I find it very strange that this event is where many Christians want to draw the line concerning their Pastors. One Pastor, who rushed to publish an eBook to help Christians find new Churches in the wake of Charlie Kirk’s murder wrote the following:

“If you’re a pastor and you didn’t address the obvious evil of Charlie Kirk’s martyrdom and horrific death, I would ask you to ask yourself why you’re a coward. Publicly repent of being a coward, or quit your job, because it’s not a job for a coward. Christ died for the people in the church, and they are not your people; they are Christ’s people. If you will not obey and follow Him, you have no right to teach or lead them.”

If the terrible murder of Charlie Kirk wakes Christians up to examine themselves, their Church, their Pastor’s teachings, that is great. Americans have been in need of examining what they have been taught for a long time. But it needs to be pointed out though, that true Christian Pastors need to be outspoken against ALL SIN (a transgression of God’s Law). Not just a sin that is currently emotionally charged in our nation.

Your Pastor needs to be preaching all of God’s Law, not just the murder of one man. Your Pastor needs to be preaching against sinful politicians, whether they be on the left or the right. Your Pastor needs to be preaching against Zionism and the so-called “Judeo-Christian” ethic that has overrun American Churches, leading millions to support anti-christ. Your Pastor needs to be preaching against the sin of homosexuality, and not just refusing to officiate their weddings, but also not allowing them in their Churches until they repent of their perverted sin. Your Pastor needs to be preaching against the destructive movement of feminism, which has destroyed the Christian American family. Your Pastor needs to be addressing the race issue from a Biblical point of view and stop regurgitating tradition taught to him by politically correct leftist communist. Your Pastor needs to be preaching against the racially motivated murder of white people in America and places like South Africa, instead of ignoring it because it is not politically correct.

The list can go on, but the point of this article is Christians need to be consistent. If they are calling out Pastors for not mentioning Charlie Kirk, they also need to call them out for other things they have refused to preach on and address in accordance with the Bible because they were not politically correct.
